End Grain Serving Board – Black Limba and Leopardwood
This is a stunning end grain serving board/tray. It was built as a cutting board, but I think it’s too beautiful to be putting a knife blade to it’s surface. Use it for showcasing exquisite servings of cheese or canapes. The wood is two different types of Black Lima framed with Leopardwood. The unusual grain creates numerous “rorschach test” style imagery. There are a few weird streaks in the wood that are perhaps insect streaks or from tree damage that give it character. I’m fine with that.
The board is finished with a “cutting board finish” of mineral oil and beeswax. There are four rubber feet to protect the bottom surface and it is branded to personalize my handiwork.
